This project transformed an undefined wraparound garden space on the lower level of our client’s garden surrounding their pool room into a multi-zone outdoor destination. By zoning the space with bespoke pergolas, precision detailing, and seamless material choices, the garden became an integral part of the home, tailored for entertaining, relaxation, and everyday luxury.
The wraparound space had little identity and felt disconnected from the pool room. With no clear purpose or design, it was an underused part of the property. Now, the garden is a fully zoned lifestyle space, where each pergola frames a distinct purpose. The flow between pool room and terrace is seamless, and the outdoor kitchen, hot tub, dining, and lounge zones combine to create a year-round destination for entertaining and relaxation.
Design & Execution
Our clients wanted the wraparound garden to become as much a part of their lifestyle as the pool room itself. The vision was clear, to create a multifunctional entertaining space that offered privacy, usability, and a sense of destination.
We designed the patio to flow perfectly from the pool room, using matching porcelain for continuity and to soften the transition. Four pergolas were introduced to zone the garden, one for a hot tub, one for a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, one for dining with an outdoor TV, and one for loungers. Each zone was anchored with Corten steel details, from water walls to cube planters, adding a modern edge.
The retaining walls were rebuilt in white silicone render, creating a crisp architectural backdrop. A bespoke stainless steel slide became a playful companion to the steps, while oak walk-through frames guided the journey across the space. Finally, bold planting and a tailored lighting plan gave depth, texture, and drama, ensuring the garden feels as vibrant at night as it does during the day.
The result is a garden that is a complete outdoor living destination, for every occasion.
