This beautiful period property needed a garden that reflected its heritage while providing a fresh, modern update. The clients wanted to create a more usable outdoor space for entertaining and relaxing, without losing the character and charm of the home. Our design carefully balanced timeless materials with contemporary detailing whilst creating a garden that feels both refined and enduring.
The garden had great potential but lacked definition and cohesion. The original garden felt tired and in need of some new energy. The redesigned space now complements the period property perfectly by combining clean lines, elegant materials, and soft planting to create a timeless outdoor retreat. Every element feels intentional, drawing you from one space to the next with ease and balance.

Our clients wanted a design that would feel fresh and practical, but still in keeping with the property’s character. Using porcelain paving for the main patio introduced a sleek, durable surface, while the flowing path of hand-laid limestone setts added a handcrafted, traditional touch.
To soften the structure, we introduced flowing grasses and textural planting that frame the space beautifully, while the golden quartz paddlestone wall provides both visual warmth and a tactile backdrop. The result is a garden that feels timeless.
